Recorded at Parr Street, Studios, Liverpool. 2006

When I left my job I was sad to go for another job.
It only goes to show no ambition.
Before I found my feet I’d hit the floor.
I hit the street. I hit the bottle more - like a loser.

All my life I’ve toed the line for money men who broke my spine.
I’m gonna do what I want to.

So I went along. I went prepared for better times.
I don’t believe a word – one iota.
If I sell my car and sold until I sold myself
I’d still not pay the bills in my lifetime.

All my life I wanted more. I walked the streets. I knocked on doors.
I’m gonna do what I want to.

You say so many things that make me want to shout
Like I don’t know what it’s all about to be down. I’ve been lonely.

All my life I’ve toed the line for money men who broke my spine.
I’m gonna do what I want to do.
